Week 68

Monday: well for pday we decide to go and hit a bucket of balls at the driving range and I have actually gotten a little bit better at it so now it's a little more fun. But basketball will still always be number one for me. Then we went to the mall, to go window suit shopping and I think I found the one that I am going to get a nice blue European suit. So hopefully they have my size. Then we got to write family and friends which was nice getting to hear from you guys. Then it was off to our noche de hogar where we talked  about  repentance and setting goals for this year and right after we finished the lesson our investigator told us that God in that moment just told her of some things she needs to change in her life so it was really cool to see God working so powerfully through us.

Tuesday: well we had splits with the elders quorum today and we actually managed to get quite a bit done this time. I went with one of the guys to teach an investigator part member family that the ward had lost contact with and then we managed to get a hold of them a couple weeks ago so that was cool. With them we talked about reading the scriptures and praying as a family. It's as we do those two simple things we bring more unity and love into the home. It's just like the saying goes a family that prays together stays together. Then my companion went with some one else to meet with Da_ and also later with Be_. And he said both of which ended up being really good lesson with committing Da_  to read the book of Mormon, and then also changing Be_  baptismal date to the 11 of March. So all in all Tuesday was a great day.

Wednesday: just like most Wednesday we started off by having a district meeting that went really well. We all were invited to read our patriarchal blessing and find the spiritual gifts and talents that we have.if you have your blessing I invite you to read it often and if you do not have it I invite you to prepare to receive it. Then later we went over to meet with Jo_ to have a lesson about the ten commandments and it went really well, especially since this time we got his grandmother to sit in on the lesson. Then we had a lesson of the law of chastity with He_ which was really good because his new years resolution has to do with that so it was good to help him with some things. Then it was over to caustic house to meet with them and talk about setting goals as a family and we are hoping one of those goals will be to go to the temple to be sealed as a family.

Thursday: well Thursday not to much happened we just started with weekly planning and then headed over to the Chapel to finish up the bulletin which will help the members to remember to share the book of Mormon as we flood the islands with this great book. Then we later had consejo which went well everyone is on board for our book of Mormon challenge to give out 200 books of Mormon in one month. If we accomplish the goal the members will be able to do the ice bucket challenge to the missionaries, so will  see how that goes.

Friday: well today in the morning we decided to pass by to see if we could teach Ja_  some English and we got lucky enough to catch him right before he ran off to the gym but sadly that will be one of the last times we will be able to meet with them before they head back to Venezuela. Then we had lunch with some members and they had there English four year old granddaughter over who was just crazy in a very adorable way. Then we had to hurry back to the bus station to catch our bus over to galdar where we spent the rest of the day contacting.

Saturday: we went and played some basketball with He_ and his friend helio and it was really cool because his friend was actually some one we had contacted in the street a while back. So played a little ball with them and then invited them to church and it was really cool because Henry didn't know if he was going to  come and then helio said why wouldn't we go and then they both committed to come. We also had a lesson with Da_  where we helped her truly understand how the book of Mormon can be right for  her life so that was cool. And then we contacted in the hermanas area to help them get more people and almost all night people would be willing to take a pass along card but not much more then this woman yelled at me from a car asking for a card so she could come to church because she had been before but lost contact with them so that was to bad but she called us over and we talked with her and gave her the address for the church and once she recovers from her surgery she said she will start coming.
So it was a great day.

Sunday: well today He_ and He_ came to church so that was fantastic and every one treated them as if they were already super good friends of the ward it was sweet to see every one bring them in with open arms. Then church was perfect where almost all the lessons and talks were on the book of Mormon. And then we had a lesson with he_ and he has a baptismal date for the 4 of February it was a very spiritual lesson and I don't think I have had very many investigators that have been so prepared like this young man. Many are Called and few are chosen. Well all on all we had one of the best weeks of my whole mission couldn't ask for much more with all the miracles we were blessed to see this week.
Well hope every one has a good week. And just remember don't give up on God because he will never give up on you.!
Love you all.
