Monday: well today we didn't do a whole lot. We mainly just spent pday cleaning the piso gettimg hair cuts playing ping-pong and games at the church with some of the jas which was fun and then had some time to email. Later our noche de hogar appointment failed so we were out in the street contacting but that was okay because we were Able to go contacting in the street for a bit.
Tuesday: well today we had a lesson with He_ where we talked about the authority that we have in the. Church to perform the ordinances of god and then he had some interesting questions about what Mormons are like while not at church so we watched meet the Mormons with him which was really fun and went really well. Then later we had Vi_ come help us with a pass by to a less active member who was sick and shared a message with her on the plan of salvation which was great! And then he came contacting with us and we were able to give out two copies of the Book of Mormon!
Wednesday: well we were finally able to meet with Jo_ again and begin to teach him. With him we mainly just focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ and about baptism and all that good stuff although he did not accept our invitation to be baptized it was still a pretty good lesson helping resolve some questions he had. Then the rest of the day was all spent in the street talking with people with out much luck.
Thursday: well today the only thing that really happened was district meeting which was really good. We talked about sharing the Book of Mormon more and the power that the Book of Mormon has in it. This book is not just any other book but yet the key stone of our church. If you do not believe me when I say this book can change your life and the life of other I challenge you to read the book!
Friday: well today basically all of our lessons had failed on us when we got the idea of calling this lady who cuts our hair to see if we could come and meet with her, but she was busy and couldn't meet but the she said that her daughter wants to learn more about god and she could meet with us that evening so we met with her and it was a really great experience. We just talked about the restoration and she had so many wonderful questions just like Joseph Smith it was a great and spiritual lesson and just the boost we needed to keep going after being failed time and time again this week.
Saturday: well another day filled with failed lessons but hey that's okay because we met some cool people in the street. And He_ came in clutch and asked to come meet up with us so we could finish watching meet the Mormons with him which was fun and then we talked about the importance of reading the Book of Mormon which he has committed to do little by little. Then we also learned how to make Ecuadorian seviche which was super good. And then walked around the streets contacting while every one was going crazy partying after three kings day. Well just say we met some interesting borrachos en la calle.
Sunday:well Sunday was a pretty good day with fast and testimony meeting just nice to see lots of youth and young people get up and share there testimonies about Jesus christ. After that it was off to a lunch appointment with some Brazilians and man was that good. Then we were supposed to have a lesson with the Ro_ family but something came up last minute and they ended up not being able to meet so we went to catch the bus to go contacting and we met some awesome guy from Colombia who we shared a book of Mormon with and a lot shared the restoration with him and got his number so we could,do set up a return appointment with him. Well that was our week here in the islands.
