Week 64

Monday: well today for our pday we went to the golf driving range to hit a bucket of balls which was alright but I will say I'm not a big fan of golf but we all had a lot of fun. Then we went out to eat at subway and man was that good I haven't had subway in forever! Then we just walked around the mall and went shopping for the white elephant gift exchange that we had at zone conference. After pday we had a noche de hogar with Ja_ and his mom who's not a member so that's awesome. We just shared an awesome Christmas message with her and she wants to learn more so it was a great day!

Tuesday: we had a lesson with He_  about being able to have hope and faith as we are going through our trials. Reminded me of the poem that many of us need to keep in mind a whole lot more than we do and that is when Jesus and a man were walking on the beach and the man looks back and sees just the one pair of footprints in the sand and then asks the savior why he had abandoned him in his hardest time and the savior said that he did not abandon but yet carried him through the storm. Never forget that Jesus Christ is there to lift you up when you fall but we must open the door unto him so he can enter into our lives.

Wednesday: today we had several failed lessons but that was okay because we were able to run into some members in the street and talk with them and also met some cool people as well that want to here more about the Christmas message. It also made the newspaper that the Christmas video is a big hit in all religons are starting to share the video with there friends so that's super awesome that all though some of us may be of different faiths we can all spread the light of world this Christmas!

Thursday: well today we had zone conference which was spectacular. We had a great focus on exact obedience and as well as faith. We talked about along time ago there were these wolves that would deliberately attack people. And the only way to keep these wolves away was to have a grand bon fire. And how do we that spiritually is by doing what? The basics and being exactly obedient like Moroni. The scriptures say that if all men were like unto Moroni the powers of hell would have no power over the hearts of the children of men. After having a very spiritual conference we then had a great Christmas lunch and then had a great white elephant gift exchange which was fun for everyone. Then we ended the night by giving out 50 Books of Mormon while caroling.

Friday: today was a pretty awesome day. Why might I say that well just say that we had a pretty awesome Christmas miracle. We were teaching Jo_ the principal of faith and the importance of reading the Book of Mormon when his grandma walked in  right as we were talking about faith and working to grow our faith then she sat down and testified to her grandson of most of what we were saying and then she asked us when we could come back so she could learn some more so we are pretty pumped up that we were able to be tools in gods hands so he could touch the heart of one of his beloved daughters.

Saturday: well on Saturday we had a lesson with one of the recent converts who we are teaching English to. So we were teaching and as we were wrapping up the English and moving on to the more spiritual part of the lesson he said " wait just one second I want to go ask my mom if she wants to listen to the message. So his mom isn't a member but she willingly came in and listened to us with her son and then was the one to invite us back next week so that was super awesome! Then we headed off to set up for a baptism in the ward for one of the primary girls and Ja_ mom Be_ came to the baptism so that was super exciting! Miracles happen every day we just need to open our eyes and give thanks unto God.

Sunday: well Sunday we had a great day at church with Cl_ and her family coming she is the only one who is not yet baptized and she really wants to be but there's just one problem she needs to get married but they don't have all the papers they need to get married which is honestly to bad there just waiting on a couple more. The rest of the day was mainly filled with contacting in the street when all of sudden we got a call from Henry to see if he could meet up with us so right when we had nothing to do we ended up being blessed with the opportunity to teach an investigator. We also met a lady that has been to Chico so that was cool!

All in all it was a great week!
