comp up at chamattin it's the big train station and then we went
bowling over in that area as we waited. Then once we got his comp it
was off to the train to head back to our area. Then to their piso to
help him with his stuff which was not very light and one of the
suitcases was broken and they live on the fourth floor with out an
elevator, so hey would you look at that got bonus exercise today it was
actually pretty fun.
Tuesday: it was a fun day had a lot of lessons fail on us and did a lot
of contacting where we actually ran in to the sister missionaries from
our ward who were in the same boat as us so we decided to have a little
fun and have a contacting battle each of us ended up with one new
person to call so that was a blessing. A lot of people say man
missionary work is so hard but I really don't think so it's all about
how you look at it you can look at it as something hard and tough or
something fun and enjoyable so I like to refer to it as missionary
fun. Yes there is tons of rejection but how can you be mad about it
when you look up and see God and your savior Jesus Christ smiling
Upon you. Just like the conference said we can bring the spirit unto someone's heart
but it is up to them to let it in. Then we had a lesson with A_
and J_ this week about the Holy Ghost which was great A_
confirmation is this Sunday.
Wednesday: today there was the mission tour in pavones which was
really great. Elder morrea came from the seventy and talked about
obedience and about following the spirit and how we are working one in
one side by side with the apostles inviting people all throughout the
world to come unto Christ that was super cool to think about that
way.then president pack talked about our mission culture and
challenged each of us to think of a few ideas about what we want our
mission culture to be so that was cool. Then later we had a lesson
with V_ and her family about abinadi and the great sacrifice he
made. They would get baptized if they didn't work on Sunday's so we
aren't sure quite what to do there. So that was our Wednesday.
Thursday: had a long session of weekly planning and a couple more
failed lessons which is okay because I am so very thankful for this
wonderful oppurtunity I have to learn patience not just with other
people but with myself as well but were able to meet with M_
and we got to talk to her for a bit about not knowing what's going to
happen tomorrow but with faith in Christ we know we can over come
anything. Then we had a lesson with D_ and F_ about honesty as
they are waiting to get her dads papers to come over so he can be
there for the wedding so everything seems like it's going well with
that. It was a huge blessing.
Friday: today we had a lesson with D_which went really well and
then he wanted to go and meet abuelita so we all went over there for
lunch and talked with her and J_ C_ which was really good for him
because his past life he got into a lot of things and a few members at
church give him a hard time for it be J_C_ when we were over
there shared how grateful he was for his example in his life and I
think that really helped him out a lot because D_ been having a
bit of a hard time recently so that was a little miracle this week.
Saturday: we had a lesson with Al_ and J_ which went really
good J_ was actually participating in the lesson for the first time
that was so great to see him make such a big step to share his
thoughts more openly with us. Then it was back to the streets to
contact which went well got a few appointments set up with people that
we met in the street so that was super great. Oh I almost forgot elder
arroyo made us chicken and rice for lunch today which was super great
because we skipped out on an eating appointment for a lesson that
ended up failing and God blessed us for our efforts and provided food for
us you can truly see gods hand in everything if you look close enough.
Sunday: A_ got confirmed by his grandfather and we had the
special honor of assisting in the conformation of him as well as
R_ another young man that also got baptized on last Sunday then
there were also three baby blessings so that was super cool. Then in gp
we learned about the restoration and in priesthood we learned about
faith in Christ and trust in God. Then later we had a lesson with
D_ and F_ where we talked about trusting in God which went
super well and that was my amazing week in the mission field.
