relax kind of day along with fixing internet problems at the church.
Then we went to the church and played board games and card
games with a couple members while emailing.
Tuesday: well today was intercambios with elder Ward which went very
well. First we started of with having lessons planed with Fernando and
Manuel but they both ended up failing on us. Then it was off to
contacting where we met a few really nice people of other faiths who
were willing to talk with us for a little bit and just share beliefs.
Then later we had a lesson with Carlos who is a new investigator and
actually has family that lives in the states and they are actually
members of the church. It was super funny because we were explaining
about what missionaries do and the prophet when he told us when he was
living with his family in the states he said he had a huge crush on
one of the sister missionaries but wasn't a member so he said there
was no chance. I thought that was super funny. Then later we had a
lesson with the Cabrera family and they are just a very hard menos
activo case where they think they don't need to read go to church and
they can interpret the commandments to fit there life style and they
think they are the ideal members of the church because they live this
way. So little by little we will hope to start seeing changes there.
Wednesday: well today not to much happened. We did have district
meeting where we focused on following the schedule to the t. Then we
talked about over coming weakness and making them into our strengths!
Then later it it was off to the streets to contact for mainly the rest
of the day. And also to English class which was good because M_
came and we were able to set a lesson up with her and were able to
talk with her for just a little while and found out that her daughter
and husband that she doesn't live with have not been supportive in any
form and actually the complete opposite. They have told her when she
gets baptized they don't want anything to do with her and that was
good knowledge to have.at times It does not make sense that this world
has always been staking so hard on the church. But then it makes sense
if something was true then the father of all lies will try and is
trying to hide that knowledge from people. Every day Satan is trying
to turn of the spiritual lights of the world and it is up to us to
fight this battle against the adversary! Let your light so shine
before men that he may glorify your father which is in heaven! We must
chose who's team we will play for but let me warn you now if you want
to play for the adversary you will always lose. Chose he this day whom
he will serve but as for me and my house we will serve the lord.
Thursday: today we had a lesson with M_which was wonderful. We
talked to her about the plan of salvation and through out the whole
lesson you could just see her having all these little aha moments that
this plan really is perfect. Then the rest of the day was mainly
filled up with time in the streets and then helping set up for a
members bday party/ baptism so that was fun! Then just contacting
besides that. What I have found really interesting through out my time
here is that thinking about it a long time ago each person that is
here on this earth today and that has been on the earth has at least
once accepted the gospel. Before the world was they accepted to follow
gods plan to come down and be tested in the world to prepare to one
day to live with him again. It is our job to help these lost sheep to
remember that they have already accepted this plan and that they can
complete with their promise to God.
Friday: well Friday was a pretty good afternoon with an eating
appointment which is always wonderful sense we don't get them to much
here maybe about once a week. There we had an awesome soup called
cellboano or something like that not a hundred percent sure. Then
later it was off to a baptism for one of the kids in the ward and then
his bday party right afterwards. So that was super fun me and all the
kids had a balloon battle haha I'll send the video later. Then it was
off to English class which is always nice to speak a little English
every now and then. Then back to the piso.
Saturday: well just like every Saturday started of absolutely perfect
with the basketball activity where we played knock out most of the
time because there wasn't to many people for an actual game and some
of the people didn't want to play an actual game. Then later we had
mission prep class which went very well we are just helping them with
lesson one right now of the restoration of the gospel. Then we had a
couple people come out with us to contact for a little while and then
all went out to kebab to celebrate their efforts so it was pretty fun.
Sunday: well today was branch conference. Which means all the people
from the branch all came and talked with the branch about how we can
improve and all that good stuff. They also focused a lot on branch
unity and letting people know that you are a member of the church.
Then right after we had a baptism for a girl in the branch and then
had a big branch lunch to celebrate so that was a lot of fun.then
later it was over to Ana's house to cook dinner and have a noche de
hogar. Where we talked about the story of alma and amulek. And then
shared a video on patience. Then off to the piso for the night.
Well that was our week here in Valladolid. Hope everyone is doing well
