Week 16

Monday: so today we went to the Nike factory which is here i got
some soccer kleats that were 90 erous off they used to be120 but I
managed to get them for 30. Then it was on to Burger King for lunch so
that was pretty good! Then got a haircut which was nice and then on to
email. Then after that back to the piso to call people to set up
lessons for this week since tomorrow is intercambios with elder
chabot.

Tuesday: well today was intercambios. So the first lesson we taught
was with D_ we basically just talked about the priesthood with
him and helped him prepare a Sunday school lesson since he teaches a
youth class now. Then after this we have a dinner appointment where
we had chicken and rice and bean soup. Then it was to the chapel to
have a lesson with M_ where we talked about service. Then it was on
to D_  house where talked about baptism but then she said its to
hard for her to get baptized right now because none of the rest of her
immediate family is members. So that's to bad. Then we had a lesson
with A_and J_ about baptism and A_  said he wants to
get baptized so we will try to set up a date with him on Saturday.

Wednesday: so today started out with district meeting where I gave the
spiritual thought about missionary work about D and C 31:3
and18:10&15. Then every one else got to talk about the twelve weeks
program and the fundamentals so that was good. Then later it was on to
intercambios with the zone leaders. So that started of by a great food
appointment where we had chicken rice salad and cake. Then we went and
passed by addresses  and got in at two different house one where we talked
about the Book of Mormon and the other where we talked about the power
of prayer and fasting in conversion. Then we contacted for a bit and
then headed back to their piso to plan for tomorrow.

Thursday: today started off with weekly planing which went really well
then we had a lesson with M_ which went well. Then the sisters
called us and said that they needed help to give a blessing so we ran
over there to help them out with that and then contacted some more
then back to the piso to plan for tomorrow. Then after this I told
elder Kirby he could try to cut my hair but that didn't go to well
because the clippers we have in the piso don't work to well and it's
more like they pull your hair out instead of cutting it. So we will
have to go tomorrow to get it fixed haha. So that was fun!

Friday: today we started off by going to the chapel to fill out a
preach my gospel survey that all the missionary's have to do so that
wasn't to bad. Then it was on to J_ house to do his baptismal
interview. He passed by the way. Then his mom made us spaghetti which
was super good. Then after this it was back to the chapel for
correlation but by the time the ward mission leader showed up we had
to leave to go and teach English class which went really well. Then it
was the noche hogar which was great we talked about the importance of
music and hymns. Although this was pretty much the topic just to kind
of force more people to join choir. So me and elder Kirby are stuck in
the choir now even though we can't sing well at all!

Saturday: so today was our wards turn to deep clean the chapel so that
was lots of fun. Then one of our investigators showed up late to help
when we all had left so that was to bad. Then we had some Burger King
for lunch which was pretty good. After this it was on to H_ house
at first we thought we were just going to teach him since he is less
active and then he invited his Catholic girlfriend who wanted to know
more, to the lesson which was great. And then we went to go talk to
A_  in the hospital before she went in to surgery that was going
to take 8 hours! And no matter how scary going in to surgery could be
she was her same old self she was like don't you worry boys next
Saturday I'm going to cook you a nice big meal at my house. So then
right before we had to go we sang one of her favorite hymns with
her. I stand all amazed. Which is so true I truly do stand all amazed
at the things he has done for me especially when there have been so
many times where I have tripped and stumbled but yet he's always there
with and out stretched hand to pick me up and help brush off the dust.
There's a poem I wrote earlier that I have been thinking a lot about
this week it's called Thanks for Father
What do I need from thee
Can I ask what thou hast done for me
Then we pause to think
You gave me all I need
But we have pride
So we cannot see
So let us hit our knees
Falling to humility
It's then we see
You've done everything for me
Then give thanks for thee
Thanks for father.
Later that night we had a lesson with V_ and V_  and their
family about the sacrament and the importance of remembering our
savior. Then after this we went to A_and J_ house to talk
to them about how to prepare for baptism which was great A_
really wants to get baptized. So it was a great and full night.

Sunday: so today we went to church early to set up all the chairs for
the whole ward and all we have is chairs so that was fun and then
after that we went to go see if the relief society was set up but it
wasn't so we decided to set it up. Then it was time for sacrament
which only started eight minutes late this time haha. But it was good
all of A_ family came to church even his mom who never really
comes so that was cool. And the talks were focused mainly on tithing
today. Then in gospel principles we talked about the organization of
the priesthood. And then in priesthood we talked about how to have
peace in joy in our lives with the world we live in and then it was
contacting and a lesson with D_
and then back home to plan!
Hope you all have a good week love you guys. Love elder strong.
