left to England for however long to work because her mom just broke
both her arms at her job so now Devi is going have to leave home and
work to support her family! Then after talking and comforting her for
a while it was off to the church to email for a bit which was nice to
have sometime during the day to write everyone. Then we went over to b5
to eat with one of the other elders who goes home next week! Then it
was off to a noche de Hogar that we had set up with leisure and his
family which went really well we talked about the great responsibility
we have through knowing our true identity as sons and daughters of
God.
Tuesday: today started off with heading over to Da_ house for a
lesson however he wasn't home so then it was over to the church for
our lesson with Do_ it was wonderful we talked about paying
tithing after we talked about forgiveness because he comes from a
really rough past where his father was always drunk and would beat his
sisters and his mom so he said that when he was younger he would try
many times to kill his father with a knife while he was
asleep but said there was always something keeping him from going
through with it. At the time he hadn't realized this as a prompting
form the Holy Ghost but then said that as he took the lessons he could
see the lords hand in his life! After this very spiritual lesson it
was off to the pulgarienes for lunch where we had some soup and then
pork and rice which was really good. Then it was on to pass by's for
the rest of the day.
Wednesday: today first started of with a lesson with Da_ and Fa_
where we talked about the importance of reading the scriptures because
they have been slacking a bit. So we read a few chapters with them and
just bore our testimony about the power of the Book of Mormon which was
great! Then latter in the day we were just going to go pass by Da_
and Sh_ house hoping somehow that a man would be there. An what
do you think happened yep there cousin L_ was there which was
awesome! So we just talked to them for a bit and then I told D_ I
had a brother her age just joking with her and then she went on to
give me her Facebook email address Instagram and other things haha you
better watch out Jared I promised her I would send you her info so you
can be expecting a letter so hope your ready to practice your Spanish
haha!
Thursday: woke up showered wrote in the journal and then on to studies
just like any other normal morning! Then it was on to weekly planning
which wasn't super long seeing that many of our investigators dropped
us or have moved in the past couple weeks. Then we went to pick up fry
food and then had a little lunch party with the other elders which was
fun! Then we went to go buy some doughnuts for a lesson with Al_ and
Ja_ that we invited Je_ to. So in this lesson we plan
were trying to think of how we could help Ja_ understand the
atonement of our savior Jesus Christ just a little bit better. How would
we do this you might ask? Well start off with however many people you
want in the room then select a subject for your activity, then you ask
them if they would like a doughnut wether they say yes or no you ask
them to do 5 push-ups for the doughnut then you go around the room
having the subject do 5 push-ups for each person to have a doughnut
and you can keep going until all the doughnuts are gone. Then you
explain that the savior has already paid the price of our sins our
pains and our trials we just have to reach out our hand and take his
or in this case accept the doughnut. And then explain that just like
there were some people that didn't want the doughnut it's the same as
some not using the atonement even though Christ has already paid the
price for us to have this great gift.
Friday: today started with helping a member in the ward which was
really good! It was so nice to do some good hard working service which
is very hard to find opportunities to do here in Spain. Then later we
went to Je_ house for lunch where we had ribs and rice! Which
was super great by the way don't know if the quite beat the smoked
ribs from back home but I'd say it's a close second haha. Then it was
on to correlation but by the time the ward mission leader showed up we
had to go teach English class which was fun! Then it was on to the noche
he hogar where they talked about Satan's propaganda using
advertisements to make bad things of the world seem good and harmless.
Then we just talked with members and talked to the YSA to try and get
some references which got us a few so that was great!
Saturday: well officially have my new iPad and let me tell you it's
wonderful! So today started off by going to a baptism for a family
that my comp helped teach which was cool to be there and it was cool
to go to a baptism on the same day that kayden got baptized that was
super cool! Then it was on to make phone calls and set up my ipad and
then we had a couple lessons set up but of course all those ended up
failing us which was to bad but then we went back to the church and
did some area book work! Then transfers came in and I'm heading over
to Cuenca! Many missionaries say that it's the worst or hardest areas
in the mission but I just think that's funny that some one would even
think that because as long as you have faith in the lord and are
obedient he can and will work many mighty miracles through you!
Sunday:well today started off with church. And early this week I
called and asked a inactive member if she wanted to come to church
with us and she was so excited to know that some one still cared
enough to invite her back to church after she hadn't been for years
and years. Then we went to have lunch at Sh_ and Da_ which wAs
good had some soap de mani which was great! Then Da_ kept bugging
me about wanting to see a picture so then when I showed her the
picture she said " tu Hermano Es mas guapo que tu! Haha what a lie
lol! Then we went to say goodbye to P_ and his family and I gave
them a drawing and then I_ gave me a drawing of a Christmas bunny
which was super awesome! Then took a bunch of Awesome photos and some
selfies! Then it was over to Da_ and her family ! Then took a
bunch more pics which was great. And then gave Je_ family a
drawing then Je_
awesome and then back to the piso to finish packing for Cuenca so wish
