Monday: well today was a pretty chill day mainly just filled with lots of contacting.which went pretty well we did manage to get two references that we will have to call later. Although one of them seemed like he just wanted to bible bash so that was that. The other guys name is Manuel and he is from Venezuela and has a strong testimony that God exist but hasn't found his church yet. So that will be awesome when we get to talk to him about the restoration and the Book of Mormon later this week with him.
Tuesday: well today we had pday which was really cool we got to go on a tour through this really old castle. I'll make sure to send lots of pictures of the tour. It was really neat because back in the day it had one of the greatest defense systems. And the walls are about 12 feet thick so you can still see the marks of cannon balls that hit the castle so that was super cool.we also explored the cathedrals a little which was cool Spain is just a super cool place. Then we came back and got Maria started in on the family history class. For all of you members out there who want to do missionary work but don't know where to start family history work might be a good answer.
Wednesday: today was intercambios and I was with elder schwanke which was awesome. We first started they day with district meeting which went well and then it was off to the piso for lunch and then back to the church for a lesson with Maria. Where we talked about sacrifice and the story of Joseph Smith. Then it was of to English class where there were just two people that showed up so we had fun sharing stories and telling jokes with them. Then it was over to play some pick up contacting basketball games and we actually got two references. So for all you missionaries out there if you have talents and this goes for members as well use them. After all what good is it when god gives us gifts if we don't cherish and use them?
Thursday:well today we had a very great lesson with Manuel who is a new investigator that we were privileged to find this week. With him we talked about the Book of Mormon and the restoration he seemed to be very open to our message and open to accept our invitation to read the Book of Mormon and pray to find out the truth there in. Then the rest of our day was contacting in the street so that went pretty well we were having many good contacts but we were not getting references but before you can harvest the crop you must first plant the seed.
Friday: today we had a wonderful lesson with Maria about what happens after this life to help her understand just a little bit more and also to clear some things up as well before her baptism this coming week. Then later we had English class so we started to translate songs together haha we turned English class into a party lol. Then got to have correlation where we had the opportunity to talk about our investigators and some activities that we want to do to change the missionary work around in this area. The work is going good here but we fill like we could speed up the process with some branch activities. Then just finished the day up with some contacting.
Saturday: well today we had some basketball which went really well it was us missionaries Nelson and nelsons friend so we are hoping that once we can build up a really good friendship and then see if we can get him to start taking the missionary discussions with the help of Nelson. Then Nicole came in with a gift of ice cream congratulating me on hitting my one year mark in the mission so that was super nice of her. Then we had conference which was very uplifting to watch. Exspecialy the story when one of the seventy I think it was, was a missionary down in Brasil and almost fell to his death and then to,d us that as long as we open our mouth to god he will hear us. But we must open our mouths to him.
Sunday: well most of our day was filled with being at church for confrence which was really good although there was a bit of a problem with the internet connection so we missives about half of it but that's okay that's what we have iPads for so we can read the talks as many times as our hearts desire. Then it was off to say elder pitman last goodbyes and then off to piso for the night. Then today was waking up at 5 amto take him to the train station that wasn't to fun. Well that was our Canopus week here in Valladolid and next week will be even better. Hope all is going well for every one and hope to hear from you all soon.
Love Elder Fuerte 💪🏼
